Apple Toffee Cake

This apple toffee layered cake is a layered apple spice cake that uses fresh shredded apples. It is filled with toffee whipped cream cheese.

STEP 1: Beat the butter and sugars. Add in the wet ingredients. 

STEP 2: Add the buttermilk, dry ingredients and shredded apples. 

STEP 3: Pour the cake into 3 prepared 8 inch pans. Bake for 26-30 minutes. 

STEP 4: Whipped cream cheese. Beat the ingredients. Fold in whipped cream and toffee pieces. 

STEP 5: Make the frosting. Spread 1/2 cup of frosting over the first cake layer. 

STEP 6: Spread 1/2 of the filling on top of the frosting. Repeat for the 2nd layer.

STEP 7: Add and frost the final layer. Add toffee pieces.  Pipe on red circles and brown stems for little apples.
