Blueberry Cake

This blueberry cake is a layered vanilla cake filled with wild blueberries. It has blueberry sauce and blueberry frosting! This is the ultimate blueberry cake.

STEP 1: Beat the butter and sugar. Add the remaining wet ingredients. 

STEP 2: Add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet ingredients. Gently fold in coated blueberries. 

STEP 3: Pour the batter evenly between 3 pans. Bake for 22-25 minutes. Cool.  

STEP 4: Simmer the blueberry sauce ingredients in a saucepan until thickened.

STEP 5: Frosting. Beat the butter. Add in dry ingredients then wet ingredients until creamy.

STEP 6: Spread 3/4 of a cup of frosting on the first cake layer. Add the frosting border and blueberry sauce. Repeat with 2nd layer. 

STEP 7: Place the last layer on top. Frost a thin crumb coat and freeze. Frost the rest of the cake. Decorate.
