Chai Cake

This chai cake is a very soft layered chai spice cake. This cake is topped with a pumpkin frosting full of spices!

STEP 1: Beat the butter and sugar. Add the remaining wet batter ingredients. 

STEP 2: Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk. 

STEP 3: Pour batter between 2 prepared pans. Bake for 26-30 minutes.  

STEP 4: Pumpkin Frosting. Beat the butter on high. Add powdered sugar and remaining ingredients.   

STEP 5: Assembly. Spread 1 1/2 cups of frosting over the first cake layer. 

STEP 6: Place the second layer upside down. Frost with a light layer of frosting. 

STEP 7: Frost the rest of the cake.
