Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Muffins

These chocolate chip buttermilk muffins are easy to make and incredibly fluffy muffins. They are extra soft because of the buttermilk, sour cream, and melted butter in this recipe.

STEP 1: Combine sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and mini chocolate chips. 

STEP 2: In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, sour cream, vanilla, and buttermilk. 

STEP 3: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Fold together with a spatula. Avoid overmixing. 

STEP 4: Fill 6 muffin liners with batter, 3 ounces per muffin. 

STEP 5: Sprinkle muffins with sugar and mini chocolate chips. 

STEP 6: Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.

STEP 7: Decrease heat to 375 degrees and bake for 4-6 more minutes. Cool and enjoy.
