The Best Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

These oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are a brown butter cookie that has oats, chocolate chips, and cinnamon. They have crispy edges and a chewy center.

STEP 1: Cook the butter until the milk deposits separate and turn amber in color. Cool to room temperature.  

STEP 2: Beat the brown butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add the remaining wet ingredients. 

STEP 3: Sift together the dry ingredients. Add to the wet ingredients. 

STEP 4: Mix in the oats and semi sweet chocolate chips. 

STEP 5: Scoop 6 large 2 oz or 2 Tbsp cookie dough balls per prepared sheet. 

STEP 6: Slightly flatten each dough ball with your hand. 

STEP 7: Bake 1 sheet at a time for 12-14 minutes. While hot top with extra chocolate chips. Cool.
