Pumpkin Caramel Cake

This soft pumpkin cake has a maple cream cheese frosting and a salted caramel filling and drip! It is packed full of delicious fall flavors.

STEP 1: Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon , pumpkin pie spice, and nutmeg.

STEP 2: Mix oil, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, vanilla, maple syrup, eggs, and sour cream.

STEP 3: Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.

STEP 4: Pour the batter into 3 cake pans and bake for 18-23 minutes at 350°F.

STEP 5: Beat butter for 2 minutes. Add cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and maple syrup.

STEP 6: Place the first cake layer and frost with 3/4 cup of frosting. Pipe a border and add 1/2 cup caramel.

STEP 7: Repeat the process for the second layer and add the top cake layer before frosting and decorating.
