Red Velvet Christmas Cake

This red velvet Christmas cake is a single layer cake with a layer of cheesecake in the middle. It is topped with cream cheese icing.

STEP 1: Beat cream cheese and sugar on high speed for 1 minute. Mix in flour and vanilla.

STEP 2: Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, vanilla, sour cream, eggs, buttermilk, and red food coloring.

STEP 3: Mix in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

STEP 4: Spread half of the cake batter in the pan. Spread the cream cheese filling on top.

STEP 5: Spread the remaining cake batter on top.

STEP 6: Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350°F.

STEP 7: Beat butter and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread the frosting on top of the cake. Optionally add sprinkles.
