I will make every reasonable effort to make this page accessible. I kindly ask you to understand that I’m not a big business with employees – it’s just me, a homeschooling mama who wants to make the life of other families easier by sharing my recipes here on www.stephaniessweets.com. I will do my best to work on the accessibility of my website as fast as I can, but please have a little patience with me.

www.stephaniessweets.com continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on www.stephaniessweets.com fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
Areas for improvement and time-lines
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility. I am currently working to achieve this. I hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by December 2020.
Star ratings: As of now, my recipe rating system can’t be accessed by keyboard. I have contacted the developer of the recipe plugin I’m using on www.stephaniessweets.com and we are working on a solution. I’m hopeful a keyboard accessible rating system will be up by the end of 2022.
Images: I will update the alt-text of the photos in my posts continually. I hope to have improved the accessibility of all the photos in all my posts by December 2021 this has been completed as of 02/01/2022. If you have problems reading the photos please send me a message at [email protected]
Videos: I will update the captions for my videos here on Stephanie's Sweet Treats. I hope to have improved the accessibility of my videos here on Stephanie's Sweet Treats by December 2022.
Link Text: I will also update my link texts so that they become more accessible. I hope to have improved this by December 2020.
Favorites: The keyboard accessibility of favoriting posts to save them in a personal recipe box is lacking. I’m getting in touch with the plugin’s developers to see if they will improve this in due time. If not, I will remove the plugin and seek a different way of letting users create a recipe box. I hope to have improved this by December 2022.
Audit: I have been in touch with an accessibility auditor and will be scheduling an audit of www.stephaniessweets.com shortly to learn which further areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
