Tips for making cookie bars
Here are my tips, so yours turns out like the recipe!
- Scoop the flour into your measuring cup with a spoon. If you press the measuring cup into your flour to scoop it the four can get compacted. The extra flour can cause dry cookies!
- Spray the pan with a baking spray with flour. Make sure to spray the the pan thoroughly so that the cookie bars come out easily and do not leave pieces stuck to the pan.
- I recommend the mini chocolate chips and mini M&Ms because you get a more even distribution. This is very helpful when you have so many competing flavors like in a monster cookie.
- Saving some of the M&Ms and chocolate chips to place on the top helps make sure that they are clearly visible and leads to a prettier dessert. If you mix them all in then it will taste the same, just look a little less appealing.
